Aquarius PR is a new PR and Marketing Consultancy founded by Suzanne Evans, a writer and journalist with twenty years' media experience and a proven track record developing PR and Marketing campaigns for both the profit and not-for-profit sectors.

After leaving Lancaster University with a BA Honours degree in Religious Studies she spent ten years working with the BBC as a religious affairs reporter while freelancing for the national and religious press and flagship radio programmes such as Woman’s Hour and The Today Programme. 

In 2000, she set up Public Relations and Media Consultancy Suzanne Evans Communications, providing PR and Marketing Consultancy to business-to-business and retail organisations and the not-for-profit sector.

Her academic and professional background attracted clients from a wide range of faith communities and, recognising the unique needs such clients have, she embraced the opportunity to create the UK’s only PR and Marketing Consultancy to work expressly for such clients. Her vision came to fruition in 2006 with the launch of Aquarius PR.

Aquarius PR is now run by Suzanne and her network of PR, Marketing, Media, Design and IT professionals who share her passion for the creative marketing communications process and her keen interest in our spiritually diverse world:    

Laura Fitzgerald - PR and Marketing Consultant

Laura Fitzgerald graduated from Aston University with a BA Honours in Managerial and Administrative Studies, with a special focus on Marketing. Her first job was in the publishing department of the Maxwell Communications Corporation, moving from there to business publishers McGraw-Hill. She then worked as Southern Division Marketing Manager for Bryant Homes and was later promoted to National Direct Marketing Manager. Most recently she joined Spink, a division of Christie’s Auctioneers as National Marketing Manager. Laura has extensive experience of running local national and international marketing communications campaigns, including dealing with contentious issues and is a first-class copywriter.

Suzanne Corbie - PR and Marketing Consultant

Suzanne Corbie has particular expertise in the Mind, Body Spirit field. An excellent communicator and energetic motivator, she has extensive experience promoting authors, therapists, spiritual teachers, psychics and entertainers in the field to TV and radio shows, magazines and newspapers, also placing them on event programmes, workshops and seminars. As co-founder of My Spirit Radio, the 24/7 international MBS internet radio station, Suzanne’s efforts helped the station achieve 400,000 hits a month and over 27,000 regular listeners. She speaks and writes fluent French.

David V Barrett - PR and Religion Consultant

David Barrett is a former Religious Studies teacher, a journalist and a writer. The author of 21 books, he is in high demand as a speaker on radio, television and at conferences. An acknowledged expert on New Religious Movements, he authored The New Believers (Cassell 2001), an authoritative exploration of sects, ‘cults’ and alternative religions of the 20th century. Other titles include Secret Societies (Blandford 1997), The Predictions Library - a series of six books on Tarot, Runes, Dreams, Numerology, Palmistry and Graphology (Dorling Kindersley 1995) and Astrology & Fortune-Telling (Acropolis Press 1994). David also writes for the Times Literary Supplement, The Independent, The Literary Review, New Scientist, New Statesman & Society, The Spectator, City Limits, Fortean Times, Phenomena, The Catholic Herald, Gnosis, British Book News and amazon.co.uk. He has contributed to several encyclopaedias in his specialist areas, most recently to the forthcoming Chambers Dictionary of the Unexplained. He is currently studying for a PhD in Sociology at the London School of Economics.

Ady Wiles - Graphic Designer

Ady Wiles has worked as a graphic designer since 1986, joining the Aquarius PR team last year. His extensive experience ensures he is capable of creating entire corporate IDs (logos, letterheads, biz cards, signage, etc); websites (including flash); CDs or DVDs; design and distribution systems for e-marketing campaigns; exhibition stands; litho, digital and PDF brochures; flash, Powerpoint and keynote presentations. Ady is an expert Adobe Photoshop user.

Trevor Barnes - Freelance broadcaster, writer and journalist

Trevor Barnes is one of the UK’s most respected writers, journalists and broadcasters. A reporter (and former presenter) for the BBC Radio 4 Sunday programme and Reporting Religion on the BBC World Service, he writes for national newspapers including The Daily Telegraph, The Express and The Daily Mail. He has written a total of ten books, including a biography of Terry Waite and books on history, archaeology and religion. He has also written non-fiction books for children and has ghost-written autobiographies for Ernie Wise; the Radio 2 DJ Ray Moore and Alison Halford, former Deputy Chief Constable of Merseyside Police. An NUJ member, Trevor Barnes now conducts media interview training for Aquarius PR.

The Puttick Agency

The Puttick Agency represents authors for general non-fiction. It was founded in 1995 by Liz Puttick, who has worked in publishing for over twenty years. The agency is based in London, working in conjunction with agents in the USA and overseas. The agency represents a range of successful authors in general non-fiction (including illustrated books) with special interests in mind/body/spirit, popular culture, history, philosophy and science. The agency provides a personalized literary management service to clients, following projects through from inception to publication, and beyond, and is a member of the Association of Author’s Agents, adhering to the AAA code of practice and standards.
